Mark D. Maille, a lifelong Lowell resident passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at his home with his mother by his side. He was 54.
Born in Lowell on March 28, 1970, a son of the late Claude P. Maille and Nancy (Stebbins) Maille of Lowell who survives him.
Mark was employed in the maintenance department for the City of Lowell for more than 20 years until illness forced his retirement.
His interest in music spanned many different artists and musical styles. Mark loved movies and would often recite lines for family and friends. He liked to draw and would draw caricatures for his family. Mark also looked forward to fishing when he had the time. An avid Boston sports fan, he and friends called themselves the “Cellar Dwellers” and would gather to watch games.
Surviving him besides his mother is a son Mark W. Maille and his mother Shannon (McPhillips) Maille of Lowell; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah Maille-Adams and her husband Michael of Goshen, NH, Cynthia and David Soby of Cape Cod; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Lisa Maille of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
It being Mark’s request all funeral services will be private.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
