Mark Eugene Malone, 54, of Springerton, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1970, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Marvin Malone and Rebecca (Campbell) Birkheimer. Mark graduated from Fairfield High School in 1988. He worked at various places throughout his life, including, WADI, the Enfield Saw Mill and Trelleborg. Mark attended Springerton Christian Church and enjoyed being outside tinkering and listening to music.
Mark is survived by his son, Mitchell Malone of Evansville, IN; and his grandmother, Maxine Winter who he was raised by. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandfather, Lawrence Winter.
Funeral services for Mark Malone will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Springerton Christian Church with burial at Springerton Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Springerton Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stendeback Funeral Home or to the family to help with funeral expenses, and will be accepted at the church. Donations can be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821 or by Venmo @jordanfuneralgroup . Stendeback Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
