Mark Martin, 62, of Waterloo, IA, passed away peacefully Monday, December 29, 2025, at Pillar of Cedar Valley in Waterloo. A private family service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Mark was born June 10, 1963, in Fort Dodge, the son of Dorothy M. (Walker) and Wayne E. Martin Jr. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1982. Mark served in the U.S. Army for a brief time. He worked for the LEC and First Baptist Church in the Janitorial Department. Mark enjoyed listening to music – especially 80’s rock music. He also enjoyed fishing, watching 80’s TV sitcoms and spending time with his brother Bill.
Mark is survived by 7 siblings: Linda Sessler and husband Richard of Fort Dodge, Jo Ann Foughty of Frisco, TX, Margaret Woodruff of Fort Dodge, Robert Martin and wife Karen of Fort Dodge, Kevin Martin and wife Lisa of Pocahontas, IA, Bill Martin of Fort Dodge and Kathy Becker and husband Jeff of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Dorothy Martin and 2 brothers-in-law: Chuck Foughty and Gary Woodruff.
