Mark A. Mayhew, of Union, Michigan and formerly of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the age of 56. He was born on September 24, 1967, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the son of Lyle Mayhew and Betty Bolden (Heath).
Mark dedicated many years of his life to working at Depuy. Beyond his professional life, Mark was renowned for his sense of humor and deep love for his family.
One of Mark's proudest accomplishments was his success as a great wrestler during his high school years. In his free time, he enjoyed various hobbies such as hunting, fishing, drinking Natural Light, camping in the great outdoors, and dreaming of relocating to Colorado. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who deeply miss him.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Candis Dameron) Brown, Austin (Kylie Landrum) Mayhew, and Shalisa Mayhew; grandchildren, Easton, River, Gwendolyn, Dixie, Daisy, and Kobe; brother, Rob (Susan Sakara) Mayhew; nephew, Spencer Mayhew; niece, Bailey Mayhew; and cousins Dawn Mayhew Sanchez and Tina Ellis. He is preceded in passing by his parents and stepmother, Beth Mayhew.
Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with the care of Mark and his family. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. At 7, his Life Celebration® service will begin.
