Mark McKenzie Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes - Peters Township - McMurray from Oct. 8 to Oct. 11, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Mark Regis McKenzie (65yo) died peacefully on October 7, 2025, with the two people who mattered most by his side, his son Mark and daughter Katherine (Kate). Mark had suffered a stroke just days prior. Mark had an unwavering pride and love for his children. Mark was currently employed with FedEx as a National Account Manager.
Mark was the eldest of his siblings. He was raised in a Catholic home and attended parochial schools and later transitioned to public schools. From an early age Mark excelled in sports, all sports. He won Punt, Pass, and Kick year after year, made his way into the paper for his first hole in one at age 12, pitched nine innings with two broken arms, and was captain of both the Upper St. Clair Highschool men's golf team as well as the junior golf team at Oakmont Country Club. Everyone agreed he was talented, good looking, smart, drop dead funny (the puns for him), and the most loyal friend you could ever want. He could light up room or the dance floor. His connection to family and friends was purposeful and intentional; it fueled him. He was in contact with multiple people in a day with one group as the standout known simply as "the thread". The thread was his life blood and represents a loyalty between friends that's unparalleled. Mark was blessed with two beautiful, accomplished children, close relationships with his siblings, the kindest and most loving friends, and a mother and father who adored him. He will be intensely missed by his family, friends, and acquaintances.
He is predeceased by his father Regis and mother Eleanor. He is survived by his children Mark and Kate, siblings Christine (Mark), Regis (Colleen), John, and Michael (Kristen).
