November 12, 1967 - January 8, 2026

Mark Joseph Menge entered the never ending glory and peace of God on Thursday, January 8, 2026. He died at UW Hospital after a long illness.

Mark was born in Durham, N.C. on November 12, 1967. He lived in Minneapolis and Waterville, Maine before moving to Madison in 1971.

Mark graduated from Edgewood High School in 1985, where he was on the cross-country team. He enjoyed playing the violin and was a member of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra for several years. In later years, he sang in the UW Choral Union and the University Men's Chorus. Mark attended St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn. He graduated from Edgewood University with a degree in Spanish in 2019.

Survivors include his mother, Maribeth Sartori Menge DeRocher, Waunakee; his father, Paul (Isabel) Menge, Fort Worth, Texas; his brother, Daniel (Elona), San Jose, Calif.; sister, Margaret, Indiana; sister Laura, Europe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The private funeral will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth, Wisc. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Edgewood University, Madison.
