Marilyn Elaine (Tuttle) Menge, born December 12, 1937, passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She resided at St. Catherine North Nursing Home, in Fargo ND, where she received excellent care during her final days. Born in Clarion, Iowa, Marilyn and her family moved to Valley City in 1944. From there, they moved to a small farmstead near Enderlin, ND, where she met the neighbor boy, Pete. He was a dashing musician, and they quickly fell in love and married in 1955. Soon after, they started a family of 5 children. In 1964, the Menge clan moved to Fargo, until returning to Pete's family farmstead outside Enderlin in 1976. There, they added one more member to the clan, a foster daughter. They remained on the farm for over 40 years. It was lovingly nicknamed "The Wagon Wheel Ranch" even though there was no ranching or farming done there. While her husband worked to support the family, Marilyn ran the household, taking care of everyone and everything. She was truly the glue that kept the family together. She enjoyed gardening, and various hobbies, including bowling, darts and pool. She also loved to take a spin around the dance floor with Pete, listen to her children play music, and was an avid reader. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of God's word with whoever would listen. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Vernon (Pete) Menge; her daughter, Jessi (Jerry) Thibodeau; her grandson Joshua Ertelt; her parents Clifford and Arlie (Vorland) Tuttle; her siblings Arlen Tuttle, Gaylen Tuttle, Sharen (Ron) Bartholomay, and Vorlyn Tuttle (Andy). She is survived by her children Vernon Menge Jr, Guy Menge, Sally (Menge) Simonson, CJ (Marsh) Becker, Rock Menge, and her sister Caryl (Jim) McBride, along with several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Enderlin. Memories may be shared and viewed here. She will be missed.
