Mark Elude O'Bar Sr.

Mark Elude O'Bar, Sr., 64 of Graceville, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Mark was born in Milden Hall, England, one of seven children of the late Arthur Obar, Sr. and Marlene Margaret Theriault Obar. A graduate of Graceville High School, Mark then entered the US Army until he was medically honorably discharged. Mark was a master electrician owning his own business until retirement. Mark was known for being mischievous and living life to the fullest!

Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Elizabeth Ann Obar James and one son Phillip Obar.

He is survived by his wife Angie Obar , children Mark OBar, Jr., (Kim), Frank OBar, Sierra Roscoe (Fred), grandchildren Satchell James, Elijah James, Aleah James, Derwin James, Frank Obar, II, Daniel Obar, Abbi Roscoe, Sophia Keita, six siblings Phyllis Fritts, Pattie Strate, Arthur Obar, Jr. (Barbara), Emile Obar, Jill Obar-Deal (David), Delia Minnick, a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held with military honors by Ft. Rucker, 1 P.M. (CST), at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home Tuesday 5 PM until 7 PM, (CST
