Mountain Valley Funeral Home - JoshuaLinda Sue O'Bar was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on October 30, 1947, to Billy Joe and Marian Howell. She passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 6, 2025, as she went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family. Linda grew up in Poly with her parents and her two siblings, Mary Jo Glasson and Sheryl Howell. Linda attended Poly High School and married the love of her life, Charles (Bill) O'Bar, in August of 1964 in Alvarado and shortly thereafter moved to Camp Pendleton, California.
Linda was the heart of the family; a devoted wife and mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived her life with grace, kindness, and a quiet strength that carried her and her family through life's many seasons.
She had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved. Whether through her delicious home-cooked meals and baked goods, her thoughtful advice, or her ability to make ordinary moments feel special, Linda created lasting memories that we will carry in our hearts forever. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Billy Joe and Marian, and her sister Mary Jo. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Amanda and Cody Geho and four grandchildren: Hanna and husband Chase Sellers, Presley Kacsir, Phillip Geho, Cortney and husband BJ Garner and great grandchildren Gatlin, Brenlei and Mackenzie along with her sister Sheryl Howell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special Thank you to Libby & Maria Pillot for the care they provided.
Linda will forever live in our hearts
