Mark Offermann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Saul Colonial Home on Nov. 20, 2025.
Mark J. Offermann, age 69, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, while doing what he loved-deer hunting.
Mark's love for the outdoors was matched only by the passion he carried for the things that brought him joy throughout his life. He was a past member of Red Fox, Clover Rod & Gun and Fin Fur Feather sportsman clubs. Whether he was in the quiet woods waiting for a deer to cross his path or casting a line into his favorite fishing spot, Mark felt most at peace surrounded by nature, family, and friends. He also enjoyed traveling for family vacations and hunting trips. When he wasn't outdoors, he could often be found following NASCAR with unwavering enthusiasm and rooting faithfully for his beloved Baltimore Orioles. These simple but meaningful passions painted the picture of a man who embraced life fully, appreciated tradition, and found happiness in the places and pastimes he loved most.
Mark began working at The Fairless Works steel mill in Falls Twp., PA, before beginning his career as an electrician at The Lawrenceville School, where he worked proudly and diligently for over 35 years. In addition, he also brought his love of the outdoors to life in his work with taxidermy.
Mark is survived by his wife, Deborah (Rafferty); his son, Mark W. Offermann and daughter-in-law, Megan; his daughter, Amanda Pownall and son-in-law, Joe Pownall; and his cherished grandchildren, Weston, Willow, Joey, and Anna, who brought him endless joy and pride. In addition to countless extended family members and lifelong friends both local and in Maryland. He was proceeded in life by his parents, Joseph Offermann and Anna Mae Mueller.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for his family, and his deep appreciation for the outdoors.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
Cremation Services were held privately.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

He also did all my taxidermy work over the years and really was a special person and friend.
He will be missed for sure and I am sure that God has a special place for him.
I am happy to had the opportunity to be his friend and will never forget him.

You were very dedicated to the school and you deserved all the accolades and recognition that came along with that.

Mark - you will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Your positive outlook on life brightened the day of all you came across and exemplified the best of Lawrenceville. Your passion for the outdoors, Jojos pizza, and taking time to say hello and chat will always make me smile. My family has so many fond memories of talking with you, and you left your expert electrician's touch all over our home and campus.
