Mark Parker, 63, of Dawsonville passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born May 28, 1962, Mark was raised in Forsyth County and had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past 35 years. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and spent his entire career working in HVAC. Mark was a loving and devoted husband, daddy and papa who enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding Mark in death were his parents, Randall and Bobbie Parker; son, Brandon Parker; sister, Donna Butler; father-in-law, Leonard Shoemake.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Kay Parker of Dawsonville; children, Beth Dobbs (Scott) of Covington; Blake Parker of Dawsonville; sisters, Remona Cowart (Terry) of Cumming, Robbie Wilbanks (Stanley) of Cumming; grandchildren, Cameron, Abby, Bella, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Elayna and Karter; mother-in-law, Evelyn Shoemake of Dawsonville; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev. Randall Woody, and Rev. Danny Ray Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday December 3 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday December 4 from 12 noon until the hour of service.
