Mark Hoover Perkins, a life-long resident of the Natchitoches, passed away peacefully at his residence on Cane River on July 19, 2025. He was born on July 5, 1959, in Bunkie, Louisiana, to Samuel Leigh Perkins, Sr. and Eulalie Hoover Perkins.
Mark dedicated twenty years of his career working for the City of Natchitoches, where his contributions were marked by his unwavering commitment and service to the community. He was a 1977 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School in Natchitoches, reflecting his deep roots and connection to the area he loved.
Known for his simplicity and genuine nature, Mark cherished life's small moments and carried a spirit that touched many. His warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother, Eulalie Elaine Perkins; brothers Mike Perkins, Barry Perkins, and Richard Perkins, along with his sister Linda Loftin. He was preceded in death by his brother Leigh Perkins, as well as his sister Jeannette Hicks. Mark was also preceded in death by his father, Samuel Leigh Perkins, Sr.
Family, friends, and those who wish to pay their respects are invited to the visitation at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches on Friday July 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA
Mark's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
