Mark Pierce Obituary
Mark A. Pierce, 61, Two Harbors, died Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home due to complications from cancer.
Mark was born August 25, 1961 to Gilbert and Joan (Harstad) Pierce in Duluth and grew up near Split Rock Lighthouse on the North Shore. After graduating from Kelley High School in Silver Bay, he operated his own logging and firewood business, and later worked as a welder at various shops including North Shore Manufacturing and Genesis Manufacturing, until health issues ended his career.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pamela; a brother David, and a nephew, Eric Olson.
He is survived by a brother, Cal (Rita) Pierce; a granddaughter, Justice; niece and nephews, Scott Olson, Misty Green, Clayton Pierce, and Jason Pierce; and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Jake.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Two Harbors. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
