Mark Pierce Obituary
Mark was a 1988 graduate of Hurricane High School, attended Putnam County Vocational and Technical School where he earned certifications in HVAC, and was a member of the UA Local 625.
From an early age, Mark was an avid collector of football and baseball cards. As he grew older, his interests evolved into a passion for bodybuilding and fitness. Through dedication and discipline, he earned multiple awards in competitive bodybuilding. Mark also had a love of music and found comfort and strength in reading his bible.
He will be remembered for his bright smile, big heart, and for the kindness he shared with those around him.
Mark is survived by his son Forrest Sprunger, brothers Robert F. Pierce, Jr. (Gail), of Lyons, Georgia, Christopher Pierce (Phyllis) of Charleston; sister Leana Hoover (David) of Milton; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held later.
Memorial contributions in Mark's honor may be made at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia or to the Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
