Mark Pierce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stewart Family Funeral Home - Tyler on Jan. 5, 2026.
Mark Alan Pierce, 67, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. He was born on February 11, 1958 in Farmers Branch, TX, to John & Rosemary Pierce. He spent his early life living in various places due to his father's job. He enjoyed living in California & England, but Texas was always home.

Mark was a devoted husband to Charm (Pennington) for 34 years, sharing a love for God & country.

He graduated the police academy of UT Tyler in 1999 and thus began his law enforcement career. Officer Pierce then went on to TJC Police Department and retired in 2022. During his tenure in law enforcement, he was a field training officer to many new officers, a job he relished.

He was well known for his love of firearms and WWII history.

A man of humor & strength, Mark was a foundation for his family and work family, always offering advice.

He loved to share stories of his many travels, trials and tribulations.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charm; his daughter, Daya (Sharpe); his grandchildren, Ethan, Carter and Lola De Los Santos; his sisters, Laura (Griffith) and Mary Kay (Taylor).

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosemary Pierce and his sister, Patricia (Patty) Simpson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and service at 10:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas.
