Mark William Radakovich passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 67, in
Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Born on March 13, 1959, in
Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Mark lived a life full of laughter, curiosity, and tenacity. Mark had a remarkable memory, holding onto everything from fun facts to knowledge of history, and he applied that same focus and drive to build a successful career in accounting in the defense industry.
Mark was a proud alumnus of Penn State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1981. He later received his master's degree from Baldwin Wallace University in 1984. His career eventually brought him to Atlanta, where he met Dena Granberry. Their relationship blossomed into a marriage on May 18, 1991. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising their two daughters, Regan and Katlin.
Mark's role as a father was one of his greatest accomplishments. Whether cheering from the sidelines at soccer games or staying up late to help with studying, he was deeply committed to raising smart, confident daughters. Their success today is a testament to his unwavering love and dedication.
Mark's interests brought him immense joy and created many cherished memories. He was an avid golfer and had the opportunity to attend The Masters with his father. He loved cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Atlanta Braves. He also had a deep interest in aviation, which aligned with his more than 20-year career at Lockheed Martin, where he worked on financial planning for defense aircraft.
Those who knew Mark likely found themselves on the receiving end of one of his many jokes or playful pranks, all in the spirit of making others laugh. He took great joy in bringing smiles to those around him and was known for his loyalty and selflessness, always thinking of others before himself.
Mark's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide them. After his long battle, he is now at peace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Joe Radakovich. His legacy lives on in those he loved the most, his wife, Dena Radakovich; his daughters, Regan DeChandt and her husband, Josh, and Katlin Radakovich; and his sister, Jo Ann Radakovich.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held on April 25, 2026, honoring him in a way he would have loved, with something sweet and a Rum and Coke.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association: https://lbda.org/donate. Please add a dedication in memory of Mark.
