Without Mark´s guidance and support, I wouldn´t have had anywhere near the career I had. I literally owe my success in life in large part to Mark. What can I say - he was the best mentor and colleague one could ask for. But more than that - Mark was a friend in every sense.
Condolences to those he left behind. God bless and rest in peace. I´m sure you´re cracking them up in heaven with your crazy sense of humor!!

Evie and McLain, you have my deepest sympathy. I worked for Mark for several years and thoroughly enjoyed it. He had a quick wit and was very easy-going. May He Rest In Peace Val Jones
I remember when I took CPR for our floor. When I returned, I had the little mouth shield that they give you to do CPR with. I placed it on the corner of my desk. Mark came out of his office asked how the class went. I said fine, here´s the shield I´m supposed to use when I give CPR...he said you´re telling me that my life depends on that little shield... we both laughed as I said Yep!!

It's never easy to see one of your heros leave this life for the next - but Mark was a true inspiration to many at John Deere Company, East Moline. He was a picture of thoughtfult composure and attentive listening to all around him. Those traits were complimented by his wit and dry humor. He was but 34 years old when he reached the General Sales Manager position - which was pretty breathtaking at the time.
Condolences to Mark's family and friends.
