Mark A. Ruschell

Mark A. Ruschell, 56, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the Canonsburg Hospital. He was born June 29, 1969, in Middletown, Butler County, a son of Barbara Collins Johnston of Washington and the late Billy W. Wilhoit. Mark was a graduate of Indiana High School. Following high school, he served with the U.S. Navy on USS Spruance. Mr. Ruschell was the owner operator of The Tree Man tree service. When he wasn't servicing trees, he would build furniture out of the trees he cut down. Many of his customers have furniture from their own trees. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three children, Luke Ruschell of Millsboro and Jake and Lexi Ruschell, both of Scenery Hill; two grandchildren, Athena and Sutton Ruschell; his companion, Rebecca Cole; a brother, Joseph Ruschell (Ronda) of Washington; an uncle, Brent Burgard (Jan) of Leland, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, a sister, Melody Ruschell Bollinger; and his stepfather, Drew Johnston, are deceased. Services are private.
