Mark William Sherman, born on March 20, 1959, in Berkeley, CA, passed away at the age of 65 on September 17, 2024, in Sacramento, CA with his wife and daughter by his side. He leaves behind a legacy as a loving and generous man, cherished by all who knew him.
Mark attended De Anza High School (Richmond, CA) and graduated from Vacaville High School (Vacaville, CA) and spent his professional life dedicated to auto body work and house painting. Beyond his career, he was passionate about restoring and writing motorcycles,drawing, reading, writing, and most importantly, spending time with his family in which he was very proud of. His personality shone through in his humor, intelligence, and selflessness, making him a remarkable husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sara Sherman; daughters, Blake Sherman, Rebekah Riera and son in-law, Shane Riera; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Courtney Sherman; four grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Robin Sherman; niece, Meghan Sherman; nephew, Ryan Sherman; brother in-law Chuck Duart; niece, Michelle Duarte and nephew Marc Duarte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell Wayne Sherman and Nita Avalon Sherman and sister Beth Duarte (Sherman)
As arrangements for his memorial services are being finalized, the family is gathering funds to honor his memory. His memory and the impact he had on those around him will forever be cherished, loved, celebrated and deeply missed. May Mark rest in much deserved peace.
