Mark Patrick Smith, of Desloge, entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2025, at NHC in Desloge, at the age of 64. He was born on December 21, 1960, in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, to the late Gerald and Marilyn (Strong) Smith.
Mark is survived by his loving partner, John Zwolinski of Desloge; his siblings, Steven Smith, Jeffrey (Vicki) Smith, Charlotte Smith, Jerry (Donna) Smith, Kathy (Lance Wildhaber) Smith, and Mike Smith; his brother-in-law, Greg Robinson; many nieces, nephews; his special canine companion, Daisy Mae; and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Nikki Robinson, and his special friend, Justin Dixon.
Mark was the valedictorian for his graduating class at Fredericktown High School. He worked for many years as a special education teacher. In his free time, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku, opera and classical music, and sharing meals prepared with and by John. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
