Mark E. Snyder, age 72, of Canton passed away on Monday November 24, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Massillon, Ohio on June 15, 1953, to the late Dale W. and Madaline (Anderson) Snyder. Mark remained a resident of the Stark County community his entire life.
A 1972 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School, Mark was proud to be part of the Canton South community. He was employed for many years with the Stark County Engineering Office, where he served as a supervisor. Mark loved the Ohio River and spent many years on Cluster Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and a sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy (West) Snyder; his sons, Ryan, Jack and Renae Snyder; daughter, Susan Snyder; grandchildren, Austin, Silas, Caroline, Poochie and Cecelia Snyder and Markie and Annie Hicks; many other extended family members and friends; along with his loyal companion, Mary “Puppy” Puppins.
Mark will forever be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, he never had a bad word to say about anyone.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mark’s hospice nurse, Kaila, for the exceptional care she gave during his transition.
In keeping with Mark’s wishes, family and friends may call on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
