Mark E. Stables, age 53, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Mark was born on October 5, 1971, in Muncie, Indiana, to Trixson and Terri (Maitlen) Stables and they survive in Portland, TN. Mark was married to LaDonna Ratliff on July 3, 2016, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

Mark is also survived by his two daughters, Cassandra Blake Stables of Portland, TN, and Mary Grace King of Upper Sandusky, brother Eric Ross (Kris) Stables of Cincinnati, OH, and his two pit bulls, Sky and Prince.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Evelyn Stables, Genevieve Duncan, and his great grandparents, Walter and Elsie West.

Mark graduated from high school and worked as a certified tool and die maker until he joined the US Navy where he served on the USS Nimitz. Mark also drove truck for several years, but was primarily a stay at home Dad, raising his two girls.

Mark enjoyed going hunting and fishing, he loved sports, especially playing golf, and watching college football to cheer for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Most importantly, Mark loved to spend time with his family, especially his girls. Mark was a kind and loving person that would do anything for anyone.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Community Building at 110 Reservoir Rd. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to a Humane Society of your choice, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
