Mark Dewayne Starling, age 61, of Wallace, South Carolina, passed away on May 5, 2025. Born on March 9, 1964, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Levi Glisten and Edna Earl Steen Starling.
Mark was known for his dedication as a hardworking welder. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, which included cooking on the grill, fishing, and traveling to the beach. Additionally, he had a passion for watching NASCAR and wrestling, activities that brought joy to his everyday life.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Lucy May Emanuel Starling, of Cheraw, South Carolina. He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley Starling of Cheraw, South Carolina, and stepdaughter, Aleshia Roscoe (Joseph), of Wallace, South Carolina. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Sahvanna Haven Starling, DeWayne Allender Starling, Kayden Brice Starling, Bray Miller, Alex Miller, Samantha Roscoe, Bill Clapp, and Chloe Simmons.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Starling and Chris Starling.
A private service will be held at a later date.
