Mark Stevens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. - Newfane on Feb. 7, 2025.
Mark F. Stevens, age 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday February 6, 2025 at home. Mark is survived by his wife Victoria Stevens (Sutton), his children Sara (Timothy) Pynn, Jonah (Heather) Stevens, Charles (Jessie) Stevens. His grandchildren Spencer, Mallory, Lucas, Macy, Tucker, Charles Jr. and Brook. His brother Charles M. Stevens and sister Colleen Vallese as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mark was born May 15, 1951 in Buffalo, New York. He worked many jobs but was most proud of his time at Heinrich Chevrolet as a Master Mechanic. He retired from Vandemark Chemical after 25 years. Mark was also a member of the Elks club where he believed he was the King of Burger Night!
On June 15, 2024, Mark and Vicky celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mark was a parishioner of St. Brendan on the Lake, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and taught CCD classes for many years.
Mark didn't live for work; he worked to live. Mark enjoyed tropical vacations and Viking cruises with his wife and family. Mark loved to listen to loud music in his backyards in Florida and Olcott. He often said, "My neighbors are listening to great music whether they like it or not!". Mark was most happy entertaining his family (especially grand kids) in the backyard. Papa will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, 2670 Main Street, Newfane. There will be a Mass on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11 am at St Brendan on the Lake, 3455 Ewings Rd, Newfane. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Olcott Fire Company are appreciated.
