Mark Warrington Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Melson Funeral Services - Ocean View Chapel on Jan. 19, 2026.
Mark Lynn Warrington, 73, of Roxana passed away on Jan. 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 2, 1952, in Milford, the son of William and Gladys (Murray) Warrington.

He grew up in Clarksville, DE, and attended both Lord Baltimore School and, after consolidation of three local high schools, Indian River High School. He was a skilled carpenter and worked in the construction trades his entire life. He worked with foam insulation in buildings in both the United States and Egypt in the 1970s. His private construction company was East Coast Roofing and Insulation. He was also certified in water testing.

He brought artistic flair to his construction projects with intricate design in hardware floors and other endeavors. Each Christmas he decorated his yard with eloquent lights that resembled a miniature Longwood Gardens. His avocations included artistic ice carving at the Rehoboth Country Club, stained glass and drawing. He loved music and played the harmonica. He was willing to lend a hand to those he knew whether they had an electrical, plumbing or carpentry problems. He had a keen interest in motorcycles and cars and loved animals including his pet dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; a daughter, Kelly Kline (Tony) of Georgetown; a sister, Nancy Hardison of Reedsville, PA; a brother, Roy Warrington (Suzy) of Easton, MD, his mother-in-law, Judy Wheeler of Frankford; cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William (Bill) Warrington and Walter Warrington; two sisters, Connie Stewart and Faye Gray; and a dear friend, the mother of his daughter Kelly, Sue Marsett.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mark's name to Grass Roots Rescue, P.O. Box 422, Milton, DE 19968.

Services will be at Melson's Funeral Home in Ocean View on Wednesday, Jan. 21 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. and a service to follow at 12 noon. Interment will be immediately following at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.
