Mark A. Wendorff, age 79, passed away at home on September 25, 2025, in Shawano. Mark was born in Shawano on September 4, 1946, son of the late William and Irma (Buettner) Wendorff. Mark graduated from Shawano High School and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he earned his bachelor's degree in horticulture. Mark was proud to have served his country honorably in the United States Army in Vietnam. Those who knew Mark knew of his love for all types of flowers, plants and trees. He owned and operated Mark's Landscaping and then Plants Galore for many years before retiring. After retirement he took pride in the work he did for the Shawano School District. He was very involved in the Shawano County Fair where he not only entered flowers and plants but also helped with judging. When Mark wasn't tending to his gardens, he enjoyed canning his harvest. He also always made time to watch the Badgers, Packers, and NASCAR. Mark truly loved his family, and he cherished his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Mark is survived by: his sons, Scott (Lori) Wendorff and Chad (Lori) Wendorff; his beloved grandchildren, Kaci Wendorff, Levi Wendorff, Noah Wendorff, Caleb Wendorff and Naomi Wendorff; his brother, Michael (Darlene) Wendorff; and former wife Sandra (Martzke) Wendorff. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, William and Irma and siblings Barbara and William.

A funeral service for Mark will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial and Military Honors will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
