James L. "Jim" Brandt, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Shawano. Born on January 19, 1944, in Shawano, to the late Leonard and Clarrisa (Ready) Brandt. Jim graduated from Marion High school in 1962 and went on work for many years as a logger and owned his own logging company. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Watter on November 12, 1982, in Caroline, Wi. Jim thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and all the animals he came across. Spending time up in his cabin and relaxing was something he always cherished. Many that knew Jim knew he had all sorts of interesting collections, and that he had a true eye for unique items and antiques. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make people laugh with his endless jokes. Jim will be deeply missed.

Jim is survived by: wife of 43 years, Yvonne Brandt; his children, Jay (Tammy) Brandt, Valerie Pinero and Kimberly (Jason) Haufe; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Austin, Jayden, Kali (Shayne Collar) and Justin (Alexis Michonski) Haufe. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Leonard and Clarrisa and son-in-law Carlos Pinero.

A funeral service for Jim will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Zion Lutheran church in Caroline, WI, with Rev. Ryan Halmstad officiating. Visitation will begin on Saturday at the church at 9:30 am until the times of service. Burial will be held at church cemetery following services.
