Mark enjoyed making small memory boxes and bestowing them upon his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Whitman.
He is survived by his wife, Joycelyn A. (Fejeran) Whitman; children: Jennifer Whitman and Mark Whitman, Jr.; mother, Arlene G. Howell; brothers: Timothy (Jodie) Whitman, Steven Whitman and Kenneth Whitman; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews in PA.
Cremation has taken place, and the family is having a private celebration of life memorial service.
