Mark Woodington Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 28, 2025.
Mark Charles Woodington was born in Detroit, Mich., to Charles and Alberta Wright Woodington. He graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Accounting and earned an MBA from SUNY, Binghamton, N.Y. On October 23, 1973, he married Judy Tobiasz in New York Mills, N.Y., who survives. Mark also is survived by his daughter, Charley Burns, and grandchildren Alana Burns and Madix Burns, as well as his sister Janette Clark of Clarkston, Mich. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law and two nephews. Mark worked for Bendix, now Honeywell, most of his career. After retirement, he volunteered in disaster relief with the American Red Cross for seven years. Mark liked to hunt and fish, and he especially enjoyed his annual fishing trips to Canada. His other leisure activities included ping pong, golf, cards, board games, and watching the stock market. Mark loved his dogs and always said that they would be waiting for him in the hereafter. Mark was a good-hearted man and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and provider. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors, and especially by his beloved wife, Judy.

From daughter Charley:

Mark was hard working and dedicated to his family's happiness; patient and loving as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was diplomatic and taught logic and fairness despite the world. He was gentle in nature, caring for others through years of volunteer work and his deep compassion for his dogs. He kept a positive down-to-earth attitude and loved telling jokes. I felt more than loved by my father. 42 dad!
