A visitation for Mark David Yates, 63, of Alba, is scheduled for 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.
Mark passed away on July 13, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on August 31, 1961, in Anson, Texas, to Bobby Russell and Dellie Anita Allen Yates. Mark was raised on a farm in Rotan, growing up surrounded by the values and hard work of West Texas life.
He dedicated 25 years of his career to Conoco, a path that took him around the world. Fifteen years ago, Mark settled in the Alba area. On November 21, 2013, he married Rosario Buenviaje Nabo in Quitman, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Mark loved fishing and was known for his warm hospitality, always ready to entertain friends and family. His generosity and adventurous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Russell Yates.
Survivors include his wife, Rosario “Carla” Yates of Alba; mother, Dellie Yates of Rotan; two daughters, Aubrey Yates of Aztec, NM, and Diane Nabo/Yates of the Philippines; three sons, Luier Ramos/Yates of Alba, Bobby Mark Yates of Alba, and Rolando Frank Yates of Alba; brother, Russell Yates of Rotan; eight grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
