Brittanie Marie Buffington

Brittanie Marie Buffington, 32, of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Quitman. She was born June 19, 1993, in Quitman to Christopher Blake Buffington and Sandra Marie Walker.

Brittanie was a graduate of Rains High School and had spent the past seven years living in Wood County. She worked for Subway as a multi unit manager in Quitman and Sulphur Springs. Known for her beautiful voice, Brittanie loved to sing and brought joy to those around her through music.

Above all, she deeply loved her family—especially her son, Jaxson; her niece, Kala; and her nephew, Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Cheryl Buffington, Warren and Yvonne Davis, and Jerry and Barbara Walker; as well as four cousins, Jacob Cannon, Cody Brummett, Michael Brummett, and Nikaela Bobo.

Brittanie is survived by her father, Chris Buffington and his wife Stephanie of Alba; her mother, Sandra Walker of Winnsboro; her stepfather, Charles Garner of Winnsboro; her beloved son, Jaxson Greene of Allen; her sister, Lacey Buffington of Winnsboro; two stepbrothers, Gage Ogeda of Lancaster, CA, and Vincent Ogeda of Point; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

The family will have a celebration of life honoring Brittanie on August 23, 2025, at the Alba Community Center.
