A memorial service for Robert Marion Pierce, 81, of Mineola, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, with Bro. Jeramy Pierce and Bro. Jim Parker officiating, under the direction of the church and family.

Mr. Pierce passed away July 18, 2025, at his residence in Mineola. He was born August 7, 1943, in Hall County, to Aubrey Roscoe and Minta Lodell Staggs Pierce. On May 28, 1966, Robert Pierce married the love of his life, Mary Anna Wear, in San Diego, California. Together, they made their home in the Wood County area 40 years ago. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Robert was a faithful member of Sand Springs Baptist Church, where he found joy in fellowship, especially playing cards and games with fellow members.

Robert had a heart for service and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His commitment to others was matched by his deep love for his country. A proud veteran, he served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and remained a deeply patriotic American throughout his life.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores Campbell; and great-grandson, Jerray.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Anna Pierce of Mineola; sons Jeramy Pierce and wife Yvonne, and Shane Pierce and wife Leslie, all of Mineola; daughter Rebekah Spann and husband Donovan of Mineola; seven grandchildren; Robert Pierce, Rachel Haney, Crystal Pierce, Taylor Ihlenfeldt, Ethan Pierce, Lacie Spann, and Lydia Spann; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Robert’s legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering love for his family and country will never be forgotten.
