Marka Lynn Herring

Marka Lynn Herring, age 72, of Union Valley, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Stuart; her mother, Dorthy Stuart; and her sisters, Cheryl Carlton and Jackie Stuart.

Born in Memphis, Texas, Marka was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished Mimi. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-she was an avid football fan and loved to read, and she treasured time spent with her family. Known for her quiet care and steady presence, Marka's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Herring, of Union Valley, Texas; her daughters, April McGrew and Stephanie Jacobs, also of Union Valley; and her beloved granddaughter, Erin McGrew, of Garland, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Lori Osborn, of Canyon, Texas, and her brother, Mark Stuart, of Amarillo, Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.
