It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ms. Markavya Cyntrell Thomas, 35, of Greenville, Florida, who departed this life on December 23, 2025.

A Celebration of Life for Ms. Markavya Thomas will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Sanctuary of Praise, 13918 W. US 90, Greenville, Florida 32331, with the interment in New Zion M.B. Church Cemetery (Greenville).

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Sanctuary of Praise, 13918 W. US 90, Greenville, Florida 32331.

Sister Markavya Cyntrell Thomas was born September 24, 1990, to Cynthia Marie Thomas and Anthony Scott in Valdosta, Georgia. She was the oldest daughter of four siblings. She was predeceased by her grandmother: Matilda Thomas; and her aunts: Jacquelyn T. Reaves and Joyce Woods.

Markavya attended the Greenville Public Schools and completed and graduated from the Madison County High School. She was baptized at the age 12. On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, God Almighty summoned Sister Markavya Cyntrell Thomas Home for her eternal rest. She is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Markavya leaves to cherish precious memories, her three loving children: Antwon Young, Jr., Marquis Young and Antoniya Livingston, all of Tallahassee, FL; her loving mother: Cynthia Marie Thomas; three siblings: Makoya (Maurice) Martin, Malique Gallon and Makayla Jackson, all of Carrollton, GA; five aunts: Reverend Dr. Barbara Thomas (Jerome) Reddick, Monticello, FL, Linda (Charles) Burgess, West Palm Beach, FL, Kimela Thomas, Greenville, FL and Shimoqua Thomas (Courtney) Carter of Tallahassee, FL; a special auntie: Dorothy Jones of Greenville, FL; five uncles: James (Carol Dean) Lockett, Perry, FL, Willy (Ruby) Aikens and Michael Aikens, both of Tacoma, WA, Marvin Thomas, Tallahassee, FL and Kinsey Thomas, Jr. of Bradenton, FL; a niece: Harmony; a nephew: Amazi; her best friend: Tiesha; and a host of other relatives, loving friends and classmates.

It is our profound honor to serve the Thomas Family.
