Marlene Chester

Obituary for Marlene "Sue" Chester Marlene “Sue” Chester, 69, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest after a long illness at her home in rural Seneca at 1:00 AM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 surrounded by her family.   Marlene Sue Chester was born Nov. 2, 1943 in Fairland, OK the daughter of Wilmer and Dorothy (Hamon) Heistand. Sue worked for the former Seneca Gas Company and for Sunbeam in Neosho. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca.   Sue married Jerry Chester Dec. 21, 1972 in Seneca, MO and he survives.   Additional survivors include her daughter Mandy and husband Dr. Raymond Vetsch, Joplin, her son and grandson, Kyler Chester of the home, her sons Steven Plummer, Joplin and Christopher Plummer and wife Mary, Wentworth, MO; one brother, David Hiestand, Seneca; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.   Sue was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Barbara Hirsch.   Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Rev. James Shope officiating.    Friends may call on the family at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Friday, May 4, 2012 from 7 to 8 PM.
