Marlene Hatten Obituary
Funeral services for Marlene Barker Hatten, age 92 of Columbia will be held 11:00 AM Friday November 14, 2025 from the sanctuary of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Urania. The Hatten Family will receive visitors on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 at the church. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla.
Molly Marlene Barker Hatten was born on August 13, 1933 at Urania, LA to the union of Bob Barker and Ethel Whitten Barker. She passed from this life on Tuesday November 12, 2025 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her son: Greg Hatten, Grand Daughter: Tessa Hendrix and Great Grand Son: Dyson Steele and Nolan Ryan Hatten.
Survivors include her son: Gary Hatten; her daughter Melanie Bassett and her grandchildren: Brandy, Greg Bassett and Raylynn Hatten
Marlene was an excellent cook, she even worked for many years as cook with Arco Barge Company. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She was also a Licensed Beautician, a friend to all and loved her family .
Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Hendrix, Cameron Hendrix, Cohen Hendrix, Greg Bassett, Tyler Shulark and Adam Barton
