JUNGERHELD, Marlene M. – of Chesaning, died Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Chesaning Comfort Care. She was 79 years of age.

Marlene was born May 15, 1946, to the late Wellman and Edwina (Ebenhoeh) Hemker and was raised in Albee but resided in Chesaning since 1978. She was united in marriage to Joseph Jungerheld on August 14, 1965. Marlene was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albee and recently St. Peter Catholic Church in Chesaning. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching Wheel of Fortune, dancing with her husband, Joe and spending time with family. She was also a babysitter to many children over the years.

Surviving are: husband, Joseph; children: Joseph Jr. (Jamie) Jungerheld of Owosso, Michael Jungerheld of Chesaning, Jacqueline (Daniel) Dew of Chesaning, Mark (Jessica) Jungerheld of Plymouth; 8 grandchildren; brothers: James (Cathy) Hemker of Albee, Robert (Karen) Hemker of Montrose, Doug (Mary) Hemker of St. Charles; sisters-in-law, Betty Hemker of Burt and Jackie Hemker of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald Hemker and Richard Hemker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Thursday, January 15, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Chesaning. Fr. Andrzej Boroch officiating. Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 2-8 pm and again at the church on Thursday from 10 am until time of mass at 11 am. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the family or Alzheimer's Association, Greater Michigan Chapter. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
