Marlene White Kemble, 77 of Rockingham, born on January 17, 1948, in Richmond County, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Richmond. A steadfast educator, Marlene devoted her professional life to nurturing young minds, teaching in both Richmond and Scotland County Schools. Her passion for education was matched only by her dedication to her family and community.

She also embraced her role as a great-grandmother to Alliah Ford, Noah Ford, Kenzie Ford, Caroline Ford, Oaklynn Ford, and Kouper Ford, weaving a legacy of love that will carry on through generations.

Marlene also leaves behind her brother, Gratten L. White, Jr. (Sally), her sister-in-law, Vickie White, and her half-brother, John White (Brittany), all of whom will miss her dearly.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Gratten L. White and Loree Harris White, as well as her sister, Della Sue White, and brother, Van Kevin White. Their memories will forever be a comfort to those she left behind.
