Waylon Bud Jarrett, 2, of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 6, 2026. He was born on November 11, 2023 to Russell LaWayne Jarrett and Jaime Bianca Paez.
Although his life was short, Waylon was full of life. He loved spending time with his brother, Bobo who was his best friend. He enjoyed playing outside, watching Mickey Mouse and singing “Wheels on the bus”.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving parents; brothers: Gerry Wayne Crenshaw, III and Westin Amus Jarrett; sister: Zuri Bianca Jarrett; grandparents: David and Tammie Tarlton, Art Paez and Tara Clemments and Rachel Bywater; Aunts and Uncles: Jessie Tarlton, Roslyn Paez, AJ Paez and Jared Stearns; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt Julie Bywater.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday March 16, 2026 from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel. Burial at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery will follow.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of David and Tammie at 166 Poppy Seed Dr. Rockingham, NC.
