Marlene Louise Coburn Kinsey,84

Marlene Louise Coburn Kinsey of Okeechobee, Florida passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025 at her home, at the age of 84. She was born on May 2, 1941 in Madrid, New York. Affectionately known as Mama Lou to all. Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and always put their needs above her own.

Lou enjoyed traveling, bingo, going to the casino, doing jigsaw puzzles, and above all spending time with her family. She was an avid member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Okeechobee.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kinsey; her children, Greg LaFountain, of Ticonderoga, New York, Patricia (Todd) Mayo, of Plattsburgh, New York, Les (Kelly) Coburn, of Raymondville, New York, Lisa (Gerald) Shockley, of Okeechobee, Florida, Rex (Cindy) Coburn, of Gainesville, Georgia, Susanne Laforest, of Avon Park, Florida, Robert Colburn of Okeechobee, Florida, Bryan (Janet) Coburn, of Moriah, New York, Tim (Angie) Coburn, of Mineville, New York, and Melissa Dean, of San Angelo, Texas; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Lloyd Coburn; and her son, Jeffrey LaFountain.

There will be no services per her request, but a celebration of life in Florida and New York will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to either Freedom Ranch (Church in the Woods) or Hospice of Okeechobee (Chapters Health) of Okeechobee, Fl.
