Marlene J. Letsinger, aged 93, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born in Bromley, Kentucky on August 26, 1932, she was the cherished daughter of Harry and Frieda Orndorff (née Lind).
Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and church activities including work as church secretary at Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church where she was also an ordained Deacon. She attended Lakeside Presbyterian Church in later years. She loved the Cincinnati Reds and also watched a variety of television shows. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and was an avid walker.
Marlene was preceded in death by her father, Harry Orndorff; her mother, Frieda Orndorff; her beloved husband, Russell B. Letsinger; and her son-in-law, James E. Bernard. She is survived by her loving daughters, Pamela S. Bernard and Beverly J. (Jeff) Scherpenberg; her son, Edward B. (Teri) Letsinger; her grandchildren, Tara J. (Tim) Green - Perry, Jordan E. Letsinger, Lauren E. (Ryan) Hartman, and Allie L. Letsinger; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ella J. Green and Christopher R. Green. Marlene will be deeply missed by a host of family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and love.
In honor of Marlene's memory, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
