Marlene L. (Jacques) Lincoln, 88, of East Hartford, beloved wife of 42 years to the late Charles L. Lincoln, Jr., passed away peacefully at her home with her family on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born on December 15, 1935, in Peabody, MA, one of five children to Archibald and Lillian (Phillips) Jacques.
Marlene grew up in both Connecticut and Maine and was employed with Connecticut Bank & Trust (CBT) until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding horses and motor bikes with her family members. Marlene was a member of the CBT Alumni Club, and she was P.M. of Good Intent #17 O.E.S. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies as well as her favorite show, Gunsmoke.
Marlene is survived by her three children, Mark Lincoln and his wife Jackie of Fort Mill, SC, Cheryl Lincoln of East Hartford, and Tammie Edinger and her husband Roger of Manchester; her eight grandchildren, Gordin Saulnier of Everett, WA, Ryan Edinger of Higganum, Erica Saulnier of Manchester, Samantha and Reno Edinger of Manchester, and Michael, Matthew, and James Lincoln of Fort Mill, SC; her great-grandson, Elijah Vega; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by all four of her siblings.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, November 15, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m. at the North United Methodist Church, 300 Parker St., Manchester. At the request of her family, burial will be held privately in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an organization of your choice.
