Sandra (Muller) Jacobson, 88, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Sivert R. Jacobson, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with her three daughters by her side. Sandra was one of three children born in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Kenneth and Evaline (Smith) Muller.
Raised in Wethersfield, Sandra graduated from Wethersfield High School and continued her education at secretarial school in Hartford. She worked as a secretary until meeting the love of her life, Sivert, married and started their family. Ultimately, Sandra rejoined the full-time workforce as Executive Secretary at CIGNA then moved on to the offices of the Department of Environmental Protection.
After raising her children in the Lutheran church Sandra moved back to her Congregational roots as a member of the Grace Congregational Church in Farmington. Sandra was well known for her infamous baking ability. She often played the piano, playing and singing her favorite hymns. Sandra was a bit of a sly poker-faced card player, often winning at the family games of set-back and pinocle. Although Sandra was not Swedish, after marrying a true Swede adopted all Swedish traditions, embracing them thoroughly. She was known for her famous Swedish meatballs and danced all traditional Swedish polkas over the years even as persistent back problems plagued her, her last dance with Sivert at a granddaughter's wedding. Sandra had a deep passion for all animals but none so much as her Shelties who filled her heart with joy.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Debra L. Hunter of Newington, Kirsten and husband Ben Krowicki of Naples, FL, Sharon Jacobson-Wagner of West Simsbury; granddaughters, Karli and husband Richard Waterman of Vienna, VA, Jessica and husband Ed Fichtner of Cohassett, MA, Aimee and husband Mitchell Randall of North Chelmsford, MA, Lauren and husband Joshua Damm of Wethersfield, CT and Ashley Jacobson and husband Scott of Lunenburg, MA; her great-grandchildren, Mia, Alyssa, Easton, Nash, Cosette, Arlo, Harper, Lennox, Charlotte. She also leaves behind her beloved baby brother Douglas Muller and wife, Frances of KY and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her older brother Russell Muller and his wife Lois and her number one son-in-law, Russell Hunter.
A Graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
