Marlene Clara (Hintz) Long passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on July 14, 1935, to Orville and Stella (Murphy) Hintz.
For 27 years, she worked as a nurse's aide at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. On September 29, 1989, she married Lyle Long. After retiring, the couple moved to Bowler, where they enjoyed the quiet of country life. She returned to the Fox Valley in 2018.
She found joy in gardening, proudly showing off her flower beds to anyone who visited, and crafting gifts like knitted slippers, mittens, and scarves. She also took up needlepoint, creating treasured pieces for family and friends, including Christmas stockings. She was an avid baker, known for making pies, cookies, and bread for every occasion.
A fan of country music, she would fondly recall the years she went to Hodag with her sisters. She and Lyle liked to travel, exploring wherever the road took them. In recent years, she became a diehard Milwaukee Brewers fan, never missing a game.
