I was saddened to see Marlene´s notice in today´s paper. We worked together in the OR at St. John´s many years ago. We both attended New England College for our degrees, as well. Marlene was such a pleasure to work with, always smiling and kind. She was a wonderful nurse, so smart with a great sense of humor. We lost touch over the years after I left nursing but I have such fond memories of her. I recognized our cap and then her picture and that beautiful smile before I saw her name. My sympathies are with you and your family. I remember how happy she was being your Mom. Michaelene O´Neill McCann, CLSN, `61

Your mom was a neighbor and a friend to many from Ben Mont Avenue to Country St. She was always smiling, and she was a very caring person. I am sure she will be missed by you and family. You have my sincere condolences Ron Perrott

Dear Rick, I was so shocked to hear about your Moms passing. I had no idea. We stayed in touch thru FB and I just happened to see your post on FB today. My deepest condolences to your family. I'm so sorry to hear about Marlene. We always enjoyed when we'd stop to visit on our trips "home". What I remember most is her big smile and how friendly she always was to us neighborhood kids. Sending hugs to Rick and your family.
