Marlene Kay Lyon, 75, died on July 4, 2024 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Born in Longview, WA, she attended grade school through graduation in Castle Rock, then Lower Columbia College and University of Washington. Inheriting her father’s love of adventure and travel, she spent two seasons working in Yosemite National Park. Settling in Portland she worked in the Trust Department of US Bank for many years, followed by contract work in various trust departments and her own plan administration firm. Finally retiring in 2016 she moved to Richmond VA to enjoy the history and culture and then to Albuquerque to enjoy the sunshine and its various cultures. From her quilter mother, she inherited her love of crafts, from knitting to making greeting cards.
