Funeral services for Mrs. Marlene Sullivan will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Marty Harper and Mr. David Chambers officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Sullivan Family will receive guests from 11:00 PM until 12:45 PM prior to funeral rites in the chapel. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Sullivan, 70, of Meridian, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, and Maw-Maw. She always kept a wonderful home for her family and she enjoyed being with her family at any opportunity. She also cared for many of the children in the community through the years. She formerly worked as a beautician in her younger years. Marlene was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church where she attended as long as her health permitted.
Mrs. Marlene is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Dwight Sullivan; their children, Joshua Sullivan (Sheila) and Jessica Harper; grandchildren, Adam Sullivan, Devin Harper, Jacob Sullivan, Logan Sullivan, Boe Sullivan, and Layla Sullivan; her siblings, Sheila Singley and Randy Scarbrough; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Mrs. Sullivan is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Jessie Mae Scarbrough; her granddaughter, Tara Rose Sullivan; and her brother, Michael Scarbrough.
Pallbearers will be Adam Sullivan, Devin Harper, Jacob Sullivan, Logan Sullivan, Donald Fisher, and James Hurtt.
