Marlene Yvonne (née Bennett) Ward, aged 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 13th, 2025 in Rochester NY. She was born in Hornell, Steuben County NY and grew up in the scenic Finger Lakes region around Keuka Lake.
She was the beloved wife of Conrad Wile Ward for 38 years, whom she met when both worked at Gleason Works in Rochester. She is survived by her son, Steven W (Pamela) Ward; daughter, Stacey L Ward; sister, Pam Hammersla; brother, Frederick (Paulette) Bennett; grandchildren, Olivia Ward and Julia Ward; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Graydon and Rozelle (née Chapman) Bennett; husband, Conrad Ward; long time companion, Samuel Parlier; sister Phyllis Bennett; sister, Gail (Leonard) Wallock; and brother in law, Robert Hammersla.
After the death of her husband in 1994, Marlene lived alternately in The Villages in Florida, and in Rochester NY. She was a dog lover and a prolific artist in both watercolors and oils. A private celebration of life with family is planned for a future date to be determined.
