Marles Frieda Larson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marles Frieda Larson (Wilkens) of Duluth, MN on December 13, 2025, at the age of 85.

Marles was born on November 18, 1940, and grew up in Grygla, MN, "The Biggest Town of Its Size". She married the love of her life, Bruce, on April 16, 1960. They loved to travel together, camp in all the MN state parks in their motor home and enjoyed campfires and making s'mores.

Marles loved being a wife, a mom, a grandma, and a great grandma. Family was everything to her. Every new addition to the family was met with Marles' joy and enthusiasm, from precious great grandbabies to four-legged friends. She loved them all.

Marles was a friend to everyone. She loved having company stay at her house, treating them to her "bed and breakfast" style of hospitality. She cherished relationships, creating lasting memories and traditions.

Marles is survived by her son Jim (Wendy) Larson of Bella Vista, AR; her daughter Sue (Phil) Peichel of Rice, MN; her daughter Kari (Perry) Collins of Esko, MN; her grandchildren Molly, Courtney, Kayla, Chad, and Stephanie, who lovingly called her "Gma Gma"; and her great grandchildren Eli, Oliver, Luke, and Elliot.

Marles was greeted on the streets of gold by her husband Bruce, infant son Ward, and infant great granddaughter Claire.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00am, with visitation beginning at 10:00am.
