Marne "Lee" Krueger, age 71, of rural Valders, was taken to heavenly glory in our Savior's loving arms on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Froedert Medical Center, Milwaukee, after a short battle with ALS-Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Lee was born July 27, 1953 in Manitowoc, son of the late Marne and Beatrice (Matznick) Krueger. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Collins where he was baptized, confirmed, and attended the grade school. Lee was a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School, class of 1971. Lee farmed and owned and operated Krueger Milk Hauling. The company is still in the family after four generations. He enjoyed visiting with his farmers and friends and would take the time to talk to people and share his faith. Lee was very active in his community and was a member of the Collins Paradise Sno-riders and the Collins Fire Department for a time. Lee enjoyed bowling in his younger years, always attended Summer picnics and County Fairs, as well as exhibiting antiques. He was a "walking history book", knowing details of the history of his church, St. Peter's, the Village of Collins, the Collins Fire Department, the background of farming, and all of the family connections.
Lee is survived by his sister, Marcia Wendt of Brillion; two nephews and their children: nephew: Shane (Stacy) Wendt and children: Reegan and Rylee, all of Chilton, and nephew: Chad (Mandy) Wendt of Brillion and children: Kiana (Jayden) Dvorachek of Manitowoc, Ashlyn and Taylor Wendt of Brillion; special friends: Andy Steffes, Bill Stahl, and Rev. Robert (Rachel) Weiss of Germany; Aunt, Carol Krueger; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Marne & Beatrice Krueger; grandparents: George and Helen Krueger and Ferdinand and Lillian Matznick; Uncles and Aunts: Merlin (Eileen) Krueger, Harlan (Doris) Krueger, and Vic Krueger.
Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Collins. Officiating will be Rev. Ross Henzi. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
